Me: (replying to David) It is Japanese animation, but it's a love story. I realize most people plug anime into this category of crazy plots and fighting weird things, but they aren't all like that, and this is just an animated love story, and it's beautiful.

Me: So you don't like the art style and culture? Because that's really the only difference. Especially in this film.
David: yeah i do not at all like the art and style, and any speaking parts that are semi Japanese
Me: You can always find them English dubbed, but it's understandable if you don't like the artistic style, we all have preferences. But you are missing out on a beautiful story. :)

So happy he texted me yesterday. Granted, I didn’t get it until now because he sent it while I was asleep, but still. I had almost been a week!
